pricing
what it costs, before you have to ask
Agencies hide pricing so they can work out what you can afford first. Here are the starting points, so you can decide whether to keep reading.
teardown
£250
one-off, a few days
A recorded walkthrough of your site — what is broken, what is missing, and what I would fix first. The cheapest way to find out whether I know what I am talking about.
- Technical and content review
- Prioritised list of fixes
- Yours to keep and hand to anyone
project
£500
fixed price, fixed scope
One defined piece of work — a technical fix-up, a set of landing pages, a migration. The way to see how I work without committing to anything ongoing.
- Scope and price agreed up front
- Typically two to four weeks
- No rolling commitment
ongoing
£1,000/mo
for compounding work
Organic growth needs tending, not a one-off push. Continuous technical, content and conversion work, with a monthly note on what actually moved.
- Rolling monthly, cancel any time
- Implementation included, not extra
- Direct access, no account manager
the awkward questions
why is there no free audit?
Because a free audit is a sales document. It is built to find enough wrong with your site to make you nervous, and it costs you a call you did not want. £250 buys something written to be useful instead of persuasive.
why no long contract?
Long contracts exist to stop clients leaving when results are slow. I would rather you could leave, because it keeps the pressure where it belongs.
what if the work is bigger than the quote?
You hear about it before I start. Fixed price means fixed price — if I scoped it wrong, that is my problem, not an invoice you were not expecting.
do you outsource any of it?
No. You are hiring one person, and that person does the work. That is the whole point.
can you guarantee rankings?
No, and neither can anyone else. Anyone who does is selling you something they do not control.
does the teardown come off the price if i hire you?
Yes. If you go ahead with a project or a month of ongoing work within 30 days, the £250 comes off the first invoice.
find out what your site is leaving on the table
A teardown is £250: a recorded walkthrough of what is costing you traffic and what I would fix first, delivered in a few days. No call, no pitch, and no obligation to do anything with it.
